I'm all alone again Crawling back home again Stuck by the phone again
Well I've been here before Sat on a floor in a grey grey mood Where I stay up all night And all that I write is a grey grey tune
So pray for me child, just for a while That I might break out yeah Pray for me child Even a smile would do for now
'Cause I'm all alone again Crawling back home again Stuck by the phone again
Have I still got you to be my open door Have I still got you to be my sandy shore Have I still got you to cross my bridge in this storm Have I still got you to keep me warm
If I squeeze my grape and I drink my wine Coz if I squeeze my grape and I drink my wine Oh coz nothing is lost, it's just frozen in frost, And it's opening time, there's no-one in line
But I've still got me to be your open door, I've still got me to be your sandy shore I've still got me to cross your bridge in this storm And I've still got me to keep you warm
Warmer than warm, yeah Warmer than warm, yeah Warmer than warm, yeah Warmer than warm, yeah
Sometimes she has imagined what it would be like to fly, to live in the river, to run like a horse. She has dreamed of that freedom, that power, and fears the wildness in herself that wants to live as beasts live, moved purely by need and desire. She has felt torn between the heat of her limbs and the thoughts in her mind telling her to be careful and good and always calm.
You know a great many things in dreams, often despite the evidence of your eyes. You just know them... She wanted to return to her dream. Perhaps it was still there behind her closed eyelids. Perhaps a little of its happiness still clung like gold dust to her lashes.
What's new? Last Saturday I went out to Dudley's Pancake House for my 18th dinner party. On Sunday, I went to a 50's diner in London with Dan. (T'was amazing). I'm back at school. & my sister, will be moving out to uni next Friday. I'm fed up with school. I want to go to uni... I have a year left of school and a Foundation Degree in Art & Design left to do before I can move out for uni.. Two years.. Ugh...
Has anyone tried the drink Calpico? I think its originally from China. It tastes great! I'm posting with good news. I recieved all A's in my exams and its my birthday on the 29th. I'm going to be 18 in less than 4 days time! =D Unlike most people who would party in celebrating their 18th, I'll be spending the day with my boy friend. We plan to go out for ice cream and maybe do a bit of shopping around London..(I'm still thinking about what else to do in day...). Towards the evening, I'm having all the family over for dinner to celebrate. It should be great! I'm really looking forward to my birthday for once! I got stuck in a tradition of going out for a meal with my family (not extended, just my parents and two sisters) for my birthday for about 5 years. So I'm glad I'm actually doing something for once.
I went to the Saatchi gallery to visit the exhibition 'Abstract America: New Painting & Sculpture'. We came across a piece of work by Matt Johnson who used his origami skills to create a man playing at a grand piano out of a 50ft piece of tarp. What did Dan say when seeing this? "What is that? It looks like a giant flying turtle." I was laughing so much as you could clearly see what it actually was, yet he didn't have a clue. But bless him, he really does not have an eye for art. :)
